lia sophia is known for doing business responsibly, and every day that includes more environmentally sound alternatives to basic activities.

Inbound shipments
Bulk jewellery shipments that we receive for inspection and packaging is a huge source of cardboard for us. We developed a programme to sort, bale and send all of this cardboard to a recycler for reclamation. It's proven to be both an environmentally conscious and a cost-effective alternative.

Outbound shipments
We use cardboard sleeves and trays to transport and store packaged jewellery when packaging and filling orders, as well as when moving orders from automated picking areas. To minimize disposal and waste, we keep them in service for as long as possible, reusing them until they're completely worn out-when they're then baled with other cardboard for recycling.

Packaging
The air-pillow packaging lia sophia uses not only protects our jewellery the best, it's also a far more environmentally friendly solution than packing peanuts or paper-fillers that don't protect as well, increase the weight of shipments and ultimately require more fuel for delivery.

Around the office
Whenever possible, we recycle mixed office paper and clear plastic materials to keep them out of landfills and in service longer.
